Tim Gruensfelder age 22 surrounded by his family. Beloved son of Denise (nee Blasingame) and Bob; his caring siblings Joe and Danny; cherished grandson of Joan and Robert Gruensfelder and the late Betty and Bob Blasingame; his large loving extended family, including his many aunts, uncles, cousins; and awesome friends.
Tim was an inspirational student at St. Louis University, a proud alum of St. Viator High School and St. Raymond. He impacted the many lives he touched through his strength, determination and perseverance.
He was driven by the great support and love extended to him from family, friends and compassionate medical staff from Lurie’s Children’s Hospital and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
The medical care and encouragement Tim received from many allowed him to gracefully perform the work the Lord intended. Tim taught us to never let obstacles stand in our way, never give up, and cherish loved ones.
His example and love will live on in the lives of the many people he touched.
We welcome you to celebrate Tim’s life at the visitation, Sunday January 7, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd., (Rt. 83) & Lincoln St., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 and Monday January 8, 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church.
